Students taking lessons in the studio are asked to wear a mask and wash their hands. Voice students may remove their mask, during the lesson.
If the student has had symptoms of illness or fever within the last 48 hours, please reschedule the lesson to a virtual lesson.
The Sotto Voce Institute LLC was aptly named, as the Italian phrase sotto voce means "soft voice". The Sotto Voce Institute LLC is where a soft voice inspires learning!
The instructors at Sotto Voce Institute LLC teach students classically. Students will learn to read music, understand music theory and experience a wide variety of musical genres. They also guide students' practice and performance through demonstration and instruction.
Students will work toward mastery of solo pieces to perform at optional recitals in the winter and spring.

If a student should wish to discontinue with lessons prior to May 28, 2021, a written 30-day notice for lesson withdrawal needs to be given to the instructor. Lessons will continue through those 30 days with regular payment, whether the student attends the lessons or not. This notice allows the instructor time to find a replacement.
Students can also choose to discontinue without notice at the end of the school year session (May 31) or summer session (August 30).
Parents are wonderful supporters of their child's learning and should motivate them to practice and encourage their child to play or sing for them often. Help your child, along with their teacher, to set a routine time to practice each week. Beginning students should aim for 4-5 days a week for about 15 minutes. More advanced students should aim for 5 days a week for about 30 minutes.
